We know that the UK’s creative industries are some of the fastest growing in the world and that a focus on creativity, collaboration and community engagement is beneficial for all pupils. With these at the forefront, our school is a place where passions and talents are nurtured, where pupils can develop and thrive, both artistically and academically. We believe that the arts are a vital component of an all-round education. By providing students with the opportunity to learn through the visual and performing arts, we are equipping them with the tools they need to become well-rounded individuals and successful adults.
The Wetherby name is synonymous with excellence, and at Wetherby Arts, this excellence can be found in the artistic endeavours of our pupils, in the facilities we provide for our school community and in the specialist teaching that pupils have access to here.
At Wetherby Arts, pupils will spend at least a quarter of their time focusing on the arts; either visual or performing arts, alongside a broad academic curriculum. With exceptional teaching, coaching and training, our pupils will build the skills and attitude necessary for success both in artistic careers and in any other field they choose to pursue.
We are proud to be based in Olympia, a cultural and artistic hub in London, where our pupils can share space with creative thinkers and change-makers. As a community-focused school, we will work hard to support local artists, and to develop socially-minded pupils who are actively engaged in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, in the London arts scene, and far beyond.
